Young lovers Alexis and Aline are heading to Sir Marmaduke’s country mansion for the party to end all parties – and you’re invited too! Directed by Lucy Harrold & Musical Director David Anstice-Pim and set in the Roaring 20s, this year’s brand new production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer is full of great songs, fun dancing and great character opportunities for all!
Performances will take at our home-from-home, Louth Riverhead Theatre, Lincolnshire from 22 to 24 June 2023 (cast will need to be in Louth from 21 June, travelling home on 25 June) and at Buxton Opera House as part of the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival on 31 July (cast will need to be in Buxton from 30 July).
If you are interested but think you can’t make one of the runs please contact the director via the Facebook event page or email takepart@newlondonoperagroup.org to discuss options.
Rehearsals will be on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons starting on 12 April at Holy Trinity Church, Prince Consort Road, London SW7 2BA (near the Royal Albert Hall).
Auditions for principal roles will take place on Sunday 26 March at Holy Trinity. Audition requirements are now available and slots are available to book.
As always there are no auditions for chorus and you’ll have plenty to get stuck into as either a Bright Young Thing or a nosy villager. Everyone is welcome, so break out the eggs, ham and strawberry jam and join the party!
