HMS Pinafore in Louth 20-22 June!

Gilbert and Sullivan’s witty, tuneful satire of class, romance, politics, and the conventions of opera itself returns to the Riverhead Theatre in a brand new production by the New London Opera Group.

Proud but tender-hearted captain’s daughter Josephine and earnest but low-born sailor Ralph are hopelessly in love, but there’s just one small problem standing between them – the entire British class system. Can a soprano and a tenor overcome all the odds and live happily ever after? Will the dastardly bass antagonist be thwarted? Will the patter baritone end up with the mezzo? Will a mysterious alto provide salvation via a last-second plot twist?

As usual, the answer to all of these questions is yes. But to find out the why and wherefore of how it all unfolds, book your tickets now at www.louthriverheadtheatre.com or by phone on 01507 600350.

Celebrate our 20th anniversary with our hilarious, irreverent Napoleonic-era production of HMS Pinafore, brought to you by the creative team behind NewLOG’s productions of The Mikado (2019) and The Pirates of Penzance (2015). It’s packed with vivid characters, unforgettable tunes, madcap action, dancing sailors and all the bonnets, bustles and bellbottoms we can muster.
