Congratulations all!

We are staging Yeomen as if it were being performed in a playhouse in the grandeur (and, um, otherwise) of Elizabethan London, so we’re building a period playhouse-within-a-playhouse on the Riverhead stage! We’re planning an energetic (and dare we say rowdy) Elizabethan ensemble of Yeomen Warders, nobles, ruffians and ne’er-do-wells to throng the stage, galleries, and groundling yard. There’s plenty of action and beautiful period costumes. And let’s not forget, you’ll be singing some of the very best music Sullivan ever wrote!

Our trips to Louth are always a great time with lots of fun on and off stage, so we hope you’ll consider joining us for all the social events planned including curry night, parties, and the annual costume ball with ceilidh. This is our final annual production in Louth, so we’d love to have you join this “last hurrah” – we’ll be pulling out all the stops to make it a show to remember.

The first full-company rehearsal will be on Sunday 12 April at Holy Trinity Church, Prince Consort Road, Kensington at 2.00pm – more details will be posted on our website www.newlondonoperagroup.org in the near future.

We can’t wait to get started, and we look forward to seeing you at rehearsals and in Louth!

Tony, Alex, Eirian, Chris, Fay and Steve
