UPDATE ++ New audition date added – Sunday 29 September ++ see below for signup information
We are excited to announce that our upcoming winter concert will be a semi-staged production of Bizet’s Carmen. A no-holds-barred tale of passion, jealousy and seduction, Carmen brims with some of opera’s greatest and best-loved music for principals and chorus alike.
Our production will be performed, in English with piano accompaniment, on Thursday 23 and Saturday 25 January 2020 (dates TBC) at Holy Trinity Church, Prince Consort Road, SW7 2BA. Musical direction will be by Alex Carpenter and stage direction by Chris Cann. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons in November and January.
There will be an intro meeting for the production from 7pm on Wednesday 11 September at Holy Trinity Church. This is a chance to sing through some of the music, get to know the production team and fellow singers, and to ask any questions about the production. Join our Facebook event for the intro meeting here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2326258307691822/
Auditions will take place on Sunday 22 and Wednesday 25 September at Holy Trinity Church. Please download the singing requirements for audition here. Dialogue requirements for audition will follow shortly.
